‘From Lens to Canvas: The Artistic Journey of Alexander Koning.’

In his studio in Amsterdam, Alexander Koning (France, 1978) has spent over 20 years crafting visual and written stories through multiple media. His works balance between accessible figurative forms and contemporary conceptuality. As a professional videographer for Dutch broadcasters, his camera has captured numerous news events in over fifty countries, creating fertile ground for his artistic work. He witnessed impressions from political events to human-interest documentaries as well as war- and disease-stricken areas. Combined with his poetic and philosophical approach to art, his works are layered and informed. His painting and writing have been exposed and published nationally as well as internationally. 

‘The Poetic Pirates Society’

Through The Poetic Pirates Society, Alexander’s digital alter ego, he explores the intersection of traditional art, Web3, and artificial intelligence. His AI-generated artwork merges contemporary technology with authentic and poetic expression.
